H2sea pitches Solution to Energy Trilemma at WindEurope 2026

H2sea pitches solution for Energy Trilemma at WindEurope 2026

At WindEurope 2026 in Madrid, H2sea attracted strong interest at the Netherlands Pavilion, where Tom Evertse delivered a sharp pitch focused on the energy trilemma: balancing sustainability, affordability, and energy security.

As offshore wind scales rapidly, system limitations are becoming clear. Grid congestion and curtailment are leading to lost renewable energy, while large parts of the energy system still depend on fossil-based fuels. Electricity alone is not enough to drive the transition.

Rather than treating offshore wind as a standalone power source, Tom positioned it as a cornerstone of an integrated energy system—one that connects electrons and molecules, and unlocks the full value of renewable generation.

The takeaway: the energy is already there. The opportunity lies in using it more effectively to solve the energy trilemma.
H2sea already delivers these solutions—integrating offshore wind with hydrogen production, offering offshore hydrogen platforms across 50–1000 MW to onshore hydrogen production modules.

H2sea exhibiting at WindEurope 2026 Madrid - Dutch Pavilion stand g-G20

From 21–23 April, H2sea will be present at WindEurope 2026 in Madrid. You can find us in the Innovation Quarter of the Dutch Pavilion (stand 9-G20).

We will be showcasing our green hydrogen solutions across the complete value chain, ranging from our newly introduced onshore hydrogen production modules to complete offshore hydrogen platforms.

Our approach ensures a balanced and integrated system design, with a strong focus on balance of stack engineering. In addition, we address key system interfaces such as pipeline integration, grid stabilisation and off-grid solutions.

On behalf of H2sea ,Tom Evertse, Technical Consultant, will be present at our booth. If you are looking for expertise for your hydrogen project, feel free to reach out via t.evertse@H2sea.n to connect or schedule a meeting in advance.

Looking forward to meet you in Madrid!

H2sea introduces Onshore Hydrogen Modules in Tokyo

Onshore hydrogen production modules

This week, H2sea is introducing its new onshore hydrogen modules in Tokyo.

With this step, H2sea is extending its portfolio of offshore hydrogen platforms with scalable onshore solutions for industrial and urban applications. The hydrogen modules are designed as flexible building blocks, allowing projects to be tailored to specific production capacities and site conditions.

During their visit to Tokyo, CEO Edwin van Drunen and CTO Tom Evertse are holding several meetings with Japanese utilities at the Tokyo Innovation Base, followed by the EU Business Mission programme and participation in Smart Energy Week.

“Japan is the perfect market for introducing our onshore hydrogen modules,” says Edwin van Drunen. “As a highly innovative and technology-driven energy market, Japan is actively investing in hydrogen as a cornerstone of its energy transition and is looking for high-quality, scalable solutions. The growing demand for hydrogen applications on land makes it a strong match for H2sea’s modular hydrogen production solutions.”

With this development, H2sea continues to build on its mission to accelerate the large-scale deployment of hydrogen production solutions that support the global energy transition.
