Working Student / Graduation Assignment Hydrogen Engineering

Introduction
Are you interested in hydrogen technology and offshore engineering while pursuing your Master’s degree? Join H2sea for a part-time role or graduation assignment and contribute to innovative offshore hydrogen solutions.

Meet H2sea
H2sea is a pioneer in offshore hydrogen, developing scalable and cost-effective green hydrogen solutions. We combine engineering expertise and innovation to design integrated systems — from offshore platforms (50–1000 MW) to production, transport, storage and grid integration.

Your role in the team
You will support the development of a GLCC (Gas-Liquid Cylindrical Cyclone) for application in PEM electrolysis systems. This technology aims to significantly reduce the size and weight of gas-liquid separation in hydrogen production.

Your tasks may include

  • Supporting the development of the GLCC design and underlying models
  • Analysing flow behaviour and separation performance in PEM systems
  • Contributing to design basis definitions in collaboration with partners
  • Assisting in technical studies and comparisons with conventional separators
  • Supporting subsidy applications and technical documentation
  • Preparing and supporting technical documentation for patent applications
  • Contributing to reports and concept development

What we are looking for

  • Master’s student (TU-level preferred), e.g. Energy, Flow & Process Technology, Sustainable Energy Technology or Chemical Engineering (clean energy focus)
  • Affinity with hydrogen systems and fluid dynamics
  • Analytical and structured way of working
  • Interest in technical R&D and concept development

What we offer

  • Flexible working hours alongside your studies
  • Involvement in innovative hydrogen technology development
  • An informal and collaborative working environment
  • Guidance and support from experienced hydrogen engineers
  • The opportunity to develop your technical and professional skills
  • Working in a small, driven team where innovation, ownership and collaboration are key
  • An appropriate remuneration in line with the role

Time & Location
